Onesmo is a distinguished Agricultural Economist and Value Chain Specialist with over 20 years of experience driving sustainable economic growth across East Africa. With a career spanning high-level consultancy and strategic leadership, Mr. Kenneth brings a wealth of expertise in market systems development, international trade facilitation, and private-sector integration.

Throughout his career, Onesmo has been a pivotal advisor to major international organizations, including USAID, the World Bank, JICA, and the European Union. His strategic insights have shaped national agricultural policies and export strategies, notably in the horticulture, dairy, and sunflower sectors. He has played a leading role in assessing the export potential of Tanzania’s strategic growth corridors (SAGCOT) and has served on the National Technical Committee on Agricultural Insurance for the Ministry of Agriculture.

Beyond his technical expertise in value chain analysis and feasibility studies, Onesmo is a recognized leader in fostering Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). He has a proven track record of helping organizations navigate complex regulatory frameworks and enhancing market access for smallholder farmers and SMEs alike. His work frequently intersects with modern challenges, including climate-smart agriculture, digital food chain technologies, and youth employment.
